Two Get Killed in Separate Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon
According to a state news agency, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle on the Harouf-Jibchit road in the Nabatieh district, resulting in one fatality. The strike occurred near an elementary school in Harouf.
The Health Ministry confirmed the death of one person, while another sustained injuries in the attack.
The Israeli army later claimed responsibility for the killing of Hezbollah commander Zayn al-Abidin Fatouni, asserting that he was the target of the strike.
The army stated that Fatouni was responsible for the anti-tank missile system within Hezbollah’s Radwan Force unit.
In a separate incident, another individual lost their life in an Israeli drone strike that hit a motorcycle in the town of Al-Qlailah in Tyre, as reported by the news agency.
The region, particularly the western part of southern Lebanon, witnessed heavy Israeli drone activity at low altitudes, with flights over Tyre and surrounding towns, including Qasmiyeh and Abu Al-Soud, located north of Tyre.
Just the previous day, two separate Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon had killed three people and injured two others when the military targeted two vehicles.
