(MENAFN) At least four people were killed and 51 others wounded in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon on Monday, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

Officials said the dead include a woman, while those injured comprise three children and six women.

As stated by reports from a news agency, Israeli warplanes struck the town of Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district. The agency also reported that Israeli forces carried out demolition operations in Hanin and detonated a large blast in the nearby area of Chihine.

Additional strikes hit the towns of Hadatha, Braachit, and Haris, according to the same reports.

In a separate development, the Alman–Ech Choumariye area in the Nabatieh district was subjected to intermittent artillery fire, while another air raid reportedly targeted the area between Qana and Siddiqine.
